There is a basic buttercream frosting recipe that can easily be made vegan.
Buttercream Frosting:
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 C. butter (vegan: EarthBalance)
3 C. powdered sugar
3 T. milk (vegan: almond or other non-dairy milk)
1 t. vanilla
Cream butter with electric mixer and alternately add powdered sugar and milk. Add vanilla. Mix thoroughly.
